PTA Support and Contributions

Our PTA plays a vital role in strengthening our school community by organizing family events, supporting student activities, and funding resources that directly benefit our students and families.

Throughout the school year, the PTA has sponsored and supported many successful events, including:

Chalk-A-Thon Meet & Greet: A fun back-to-school event at the 60th Street Playground where families, students, and staff connected, met PTA board members, and enjoyed activities and refreshments.

Scholastic Book Fair: Organized volunteers throughout the week-long event and provided bags to help students safely carry home their book purchases.

Family Movie Night: Created a family-friendly evening for our school community, offering refreshments and snacks for attendees.

Spring Festival: Sponsored a variety of activities and attractions including a bouncy house, cotton candy, popcorn, temporary tattoos, souvenirs, decorations, and snacks, creating a memorable experience for students and families.

Where PTA Funds Go

The PTA is committed to using funds raised through events and fundraising activities to directly benefit our students, families, and school community. This year, PTA funds helped support:
Valentine’s Day Gifts (February): Purchased Valentine’s Day pens for all students through Oriental Trading.
School Theater Program: Provided support for our Disney Musical production in February 2026.
5th Grade Graduation: Purchased caps and gowns for graduating 5th grade students, helping families celebrate this important milestone.
State Exam Encouragement: Provided “Lucky Charm Treats” and personalized good-luck notes to students in grades 3-5 during state testing.
Spring Festival: Sponsored student activities during the school day, including bouncy houses, cotton candy, and popcorn at no cost to students. The festival was later opened to families as a community celebration.
Every dollar raised by the PTA is reinvested into programs, events, and experiences that enhance student learning, celebrate achievements, and strengthen our school community. We thank all of our families and volunteers for making these opportunities possible.
